Great storyline but I’m not a spice person
It really is a great storyline. And I love the innuendos and stuff throughout the book but then the spicy stuff hit and I had to turn it off real quick because the kids were close by. I very literally listen to audios all day while doing housework and tasks and my kids are often around me. If I had been reading rather than listening, I might have been more okay with it but even then, I guess I’m a bit of a prude. I like the spicy stuff in real life but don’t want to hear someone describe it I guess. I just want fun and cozy paranormal mysteries. Gimme true crime docs all day long but when I listen to my audios, I want light and fun. The storyline was really good though. So if you like paranormal books with a bit of spice, you’ll like this one. If you’re more like me, when you get to the spicy stuff, you could skip ahead to the happy ending once it gets there.
A cute, fun story :)
3.5 stars
Okay, so if you're not into instalove/lust, this is definitely not for you. lol Fortunately for me, that's generally not a deal-breaker, so I found this quite cute. Do parts of this story strain credulity? Of course, but it's a PNR: That's the norm. It would be weird if it didn't. Anyway, it was a quick, fun story, and the narrator did a nice job. :)
CW: violence, blood, nonconsensual vampire bites (not between the MCs & not meant to be sexy), accidental (magical) drugging, needles
