Excellent
Many versions of this story are filled with music and sound effects which really get in the way of the words.
Not this one. Reader was excellent...all my herself.
Straight and very good narration
This is a straight, plain reading of the story, no sound effects or staging of any kind...thank goodness. I find those things a real distraction from the actual words of the story.
The reader sounds like a mother reading to her children....a mother who happens to have a trained voice and wonderful vocal characterizations. I loved it, and more importantly, so did my kids. I'm now about to play it for them again - for pehaps the 20th time this week and, the strange thing is....I don't mind!
