You Can't See Them. But They Can See You.
This forest isn't charted on any map. Every car breaks down at its treeline. Mina's is no different. Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams.
Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the watchers come above ground. These creatures emerge to observe their captive humans and terrible things happen to anyone who doesn't reach the bunker in time.
Afraid and trapped among strangers, Mina is desperate for answers. Who are the watchers and why are these creatures keeping them imprisoned, keen to watch their every move?

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
When a struggling artist takes an easy side hustle making deliveries, she’s hardly thinking about monsters in an Irish forest—that is, until she has to. In A.M. Shine’s gothic horror story, when Mina’s car breaks down on the edge of the Galway woods and a disembodied voice screams at her, that’s all it takes for her to get caught up with three strangers in a terrorizing spiral with no escape in sight. Imprisoned in a claustrophobic concrete bunker, they can’t see the nocturnal monsters who are stalking their hiding place. But Mina and the others can hear their bloodcurdling shrieks, becoming more desperate, hopeless, and paranoid night after horrifying night. Narrator Jacqueline Milne’s crisp Irish brogue perfectly captures Mina’s deteriorating mind. Rooted in Irish culture and mythology, this is a story that reels you in, scaring you over and over until its chilling, twisty end.

Fantastic story
It is a great story full of fear and suspense, well written. The story starts slow but picks up quickly and is hard to stop. So many times I held my breath. I hope there’s more to come in this universe.
