Publisher Description
Logan Murphy should come with a warning.
He’s as hot as a Carolina Reaper on black asphalt in the middle of July.
With perfectly messy dark hair and smoldering blue eyes—and don’t even get me started on the way that black tee stretches across his toned chest…
He’s my brother’s best friend.
He’s also a football star on track to win the first wide-receiver MVP in league history.
Good thing I only date golfers… or I did.
Good thing he’s only visiting for a month, because the more I see he’s not a player, the harder it is to block him from running away with my heart.
I’ve always loved football, but after eight years pro, everything about it leaves me cold.
So when I agree to head south with my best friend, the last thing I expect is to have my face melted off by his pepper-loving little sister.
Dylan Bradford was supposed to be a kid, not a feisty pinup who looks at me like she’s never seen a man before.
She’s all curves and cutoffs, bare feet dancing in the warm summer night.
But I’m only in town a month, and she doesn’t date football players.
Then late-night talks turn to sharing past hurts and future dreams, and shy looks turn to confident kisses.
The heat between us can’t be denied. It’s spicy and sweet, and it melts us together.
Until the way we touch becomes more than friendly—it’s forever.
(THE WAY WE TOUCH is a small-town, brother’s best friend, sports romance with hilarious “accidents,” and a dirty-talking hero. No cheating. No cliffhanger. No third-act breakup.)

A Funny and Charming Small Town Sports Romance
Fun and sweet but with some chili-pepper spiciness, The Way We Touch is a must-read small-town sports romance with heart. It's Logan and Dylan's story. She's his teammate and best friend's sister, and they meet when he comes home with her brother to spend some time in the off season back home. A month isn't long enough, though, and the undeniable connection they have continues even when he has to go back to New York, but will they be able to survive their time apart and everything else, too?
I love the storyline and it's so well done! It's definitely entertaining, but there are emotional undercurrents that give the story gravity when needed. But this is definitely the kind of book I'd say is light and charming and will make you laugh out loud. Logan and Dylan's meet cute is hands down one of the funniest scenes I've read in ages. I won't ruin anything for you, but basically if it could've gone wrong it did and with hilarious results. Also, the romance is well paced even though there's an immediate attraction between them, and I loved how it all played out.
Plus, the characters are great. Logan isn't just some superstar football player; he's got some depth and a whole lot of charm, and he's so likeable. But Dylan? She's the star for me in this book. She's so completely loveable, and she's the sort of character that you root for the entire time. And then there are all Dylan's brothers and Miss Gina that lend so much to this storyline. They all add just enough as supporting characters and left me wanting more of all of them.
Also, I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of The Way We Touch, and I completely recommend it! I always love listening to Connor Crais, and his performance definitely does Logan's character justice. Samantha Brentmoor as Dylan is just perfect, though. She's got this lovely southern lilt to her performance that's not at all contrived sounding. She really brings Dylan to life, and I don't think I could see anyone else being quite as good as her in the role.
So, if you love sports romance romcoms, this book is a must add to your TBR. It's so cute and funny and sexy, and I'm looking forward to Zane's book next.
