When his teenage daughter goes missing on a summer wilderness canoe trip to the Nahanni River, Inspector Michael Green is forced into unfamiliar territory. Unable to mobilize the local RCMP, he enlists the help of his long-time friend, Staff Sergeant Brian Sullivan, to accompany him to the Northwest Territories to look for themselves. Speaker is just awful
I have gone through all of the Inspector Green Series in a few weeks and enjoyed the audiobooks tremendously, looking forward to the next. Now I have heard the last one "The Whisper of Legends" and can only say Barbara Fradkin is still at her best. But now a new speaker is reading the book and while the previous speaker was just extraordinary and fabolous this new speaker is just awful. The modulation of the voice just horrendous, instead of going down, going up, sounding really vain in the wrong moments. How can you do this? And especially when the previous speaker was just such a excellent choice. I highly recommend you reconsider your choice for the next book. It is a shame when you have heard th older books. Must be in Barbara Bradkin interest as well to have the best speaker.
The Reader is Horrible!!
Barbara Fradkin writes "Inspedtor Green" novels and while none are great they are okay. Inspector Green in not a likable character nor are the supporting group around him. However, "The Whisper of Legends" is truly awful. Plot is ridiculous, dialog is amateurish, and characters are NOT interesting. I could not finish listening to it. Plus this reader is truly HORRIBLE!! This one is not worth the money!
