okay So this book caught me by surprise I read it after I read all of the shadow and bone books and before I read the six of crows. The story keeps you at the edge of your seat wondering what’s about to happen and the world building helps you set it up for what the upcoming series will feel like, and so forth. Now the story itself is quite sad and creepy with how the twist hits. It almost made me fetch not gonna lie. but it ends on a good note I will say with a breathe of relief without spoilers. So don’t hesitate if you’re looking for a scary story to tell in the dark. This is a great story and 10/10 will read again
