A superb exploration

Vivid history in a meaningful context

This course exemplifies the quality that most of the history I learned in school lacked: specific, meaningful narrative about how a famous figure fit into and helped shape historical trends. Webb's discussions about how Roosevelt changed the course of the American presidency are truly insightful and will stick with me much more than the dates and isolated facts associated with Roosevelt that I learned in school.
