I couldn’t wait to dive into the third and final book of the Knockemout Series. I’m soo sad I won’t read any more books about Knockemout, Knox, Nash, Lucian, Naomi, Lina, and Sloane, as well as Stef, Jeremiah, Waylay and the rest of Knockemout. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the Knockemout series. Lucy Score definitely knocked her final book outta the park. I love Lucian and Sloane’s story.
With this being the final book in the series I think Lucy did a great job tying everything up and left no loose ends. The bonus epilogue was amazing to help see where things ended up after everything. As sad as I am that there will be no more Knockemout books I’m very happy with how well this book turned out. I couldn’t wait to find out what caused all the tension and anger between Sloane and Lucian. I loved the throwback chapters where we got a first hand account of what Lucian and Sloane went through when they were kids. This story did not disappoint and I didn’t want to put it down. A real page turner.
The banter between Lucian and Sloane was top notch. The sexual tension and lust between them was even better. He was always her protector even when they hated each other and he was far away. After Sloane’s dad passed away Lucian spent more time in Knockemout and Sloane and Lucian figured they could relieve some of their tension if they just fooled around, bumped uglies, a few times. They went from “enemies to friends with benefits” to trying not to fall back in love and open old wounds. Watching Lucian realize his true feelings was the epitome of love. Him realizing that maybe he was capable of love and deserving of Sloane. They both helped each other heal from different traumas and grew stronger together.
Not only was there banter, lust, and everything Lucy brings to her books there was suspense. They are still dealing with Anthony Hugo and the investigation into everything that he and his son were involved in from book 1. All three books we got closer and closer to figuring everything out and this book tied it up nicely.
