Stand alone audiobook with great narration
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Matt Haynes and I would give his performance 5 stars. He did a great job with male and female voices, accents and extra sounds that brought the story to life.
Zee Irwin is a new-to-me author. This is Fate is an entirely stand alone audiobook with very little overlap with characters from future books in the series (I actually had to look up the series to be sure future books were about any of the characters.)
I received a copy of the audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.
Age gap - billionaire romance
Zee is a new to me author and I enjoyed listening to This is Fate. This age- gap, billionaire story is filled with emotion, steam and amazing banter between Daniel and Maddie.
Maddie is a driven and determined young woman who is working to finish her degree to become a lawyer.
Daniel is a billionaire who has sworn off relationships and love.
Maddie and Daniel have a bit of an instant attraction and can’t seem to stay away from one another. Their chemistry is off the charts.
Matt Haynes narrates the book and does an amazing job. He brings the characters to life with their own personality and delivers a lot of emotion.

Baffled
This is my first audiobook by Zee Irwin and I am baffled by Daniel’s thick-headed mentality to needlessly blame himself for the bad decisions of others. He clearly has lots of redeemable qualities, like thoughtfulness, protectiveness, and the ability to give to others without there being a reward for himself. On the other hand, Mattie needed to develop a spine! I mean how many times can you forgive a person the exact same mistake? I know that forgiveness and patience are virtues but come on!! I am happy that they both finally gets their act together and move on to a fulfilling relationship!! Matt Haynes is a new narrator for me and he did an good job with his male characters but his female voices need more work. He used the same tone of voice for women as he did for the men which made it hard to recognize whose point of view you were listening to. Overall, it was a good experience.
