Seems ill-suited to being an audiobook

It’s well narrated, but I’m not sure it’ll hold my attention. Here’s why. Inside of the first hour of the book, you’ll get prompted to download a PDF of something. This is a problem for those of us who listen to audio books in the car. It’s unlikely I’ll remember “go to somewebsite dot com, click on something” hours later when I’m not driving anymore.

Only if you're high-functioning...

Too much homework. Exercises to complete. PDF's to download. Steps to list. Charts to graph. The writer doesn't seem to understand how effectively this shuts off most people's brains upon hearing and almost comically ignores his own procedural advice in this way.

Makes a lot of assumptions about a persons baseline abilities and perceptions, and for the help of how it looks closer at impulse, it really only scales into the same problematic core issues for the solutions it proposes. So the aha novelty diminishes pretty quickly. These ideas do almost nothing for my addictive personality for example.

While it does mostly observe distractions and ideas about removing them, motivation and prompt's edge of defining elements as described in the book are too vague and are not qualified with nuance for someone truly conflicted or anxious.

Mostly for high-functioning people who can be led by a leash.
