Publisher Description
In this witty, feel-good romantic comedy perfect for fans of Love Is Blind and You’ve Got Mail, an enemies-to-lovers romance unfolds between two rivals who unknowingly fall for each other online.
Perpetually cheerful and eager to please, Gracie Cooper is determined to keep her late father’s Midtown Manhattan champagne shop alive—even as mounting financial pressure threatens to shut it down. When a powerful corporation led by the frustratingly handsome Sebastian Andrews makes a move to buy it, Gracie digs in her heels, unwilling to let go of her father’s dream.
With everything on the line, Gracie turns to an anonymous connection on a blind dating app, where matches build relationships through messages before revealing their real identities. Confiding in “Sir,” she finds unexpected comfort—and a growing romantic connection.
What she doesn’t realize is that Sir is actually Sebastian—the very man she clashes with in real life.
As their online chemistry deepens and their offline rivalry intensifies, Gracie must decide what matters more: protecting her past or risking her heart on a future she never saw coming.
Laugh-out-loud funny and full of heart, this modern rom-com explores online dating, hidden identities, grief, and second chances in love and life.
Customer Reviews
Completely predictable
You’ll know the ending within minutes of the beginning but if you’re into that, it’s good.
Very awkward dialogue
The story was cute but the dialogue was very awkward throughout the book. Very predictable ending.
Just ok
Just ok, not worth $12.99 to me as it was very predictable from page 1 and the story is very simple. The characters lack depth too. I also really really disliked the narrator who did not have a smooth cadence and mispronounced Caleb and other repetitive words.
