Publisher Description
Here's an exciting, original short story written exclusively for audio, featuring the Torchwood characters and read by Burn Gorman, who plays Owen in the television series.
Across Cardiff, ordinary people are behaving in odd ways: saying hello to one another and going out of their way to greet people. Torchwood discovers that an alien communications field is gathering strength in the city. The team must find the device responsible and shut it off - before civil unrest engulfs the city.

Great! Really Great
I really enjoyed this audiobook. The story is engaging with most of the action focusing around Jack, Gwen and Owen in the streets of Cardiff.
I think the highlight of this book is the characterisations, both in the writing and performance. The author has painted a vivid picture of the characters through their dialogue, with less emphasis on description. Bern Gorman enhanced the characterisation by a BRILLIANT performance. I was amazed by how much he sounded like the actors in the TV series. Although he only slightly emulated Jack's mid-Atlantic accent, Burn's voice occasionally sounded just like Barrowman... and Ianto... and occasionally even Gwen and Tosh too.
I'm pleased I bought it. I will look up more by this author.
Really creepy, and not in a good "Torchwood creepy" kind of way...
Really didn't find this story particularly interesting, and the "hello", "hello", "hello" stuff got really old and annoying really fast. Gorman is one of my favorite readers on the Torchwood books, but I'd recommend "Slow Decay" instead.
