Publisher Description
Wyatt Crawford is everything I’m not. Charming, fearless, and…experienced. He’s also hiding something from me.
When he first walks into my small bookstore, I find myself overwhelmed by my instant reaction to him, and more than a little intrigued. Then we run into each other again, and again. And each time leaves me a little breathless - in a good way for once in my life.
Wyatt is only in Dogwood Cove temporarily, so exploring these new feelings I’m having is a bad idea. But the more I’m around him, the more I find myself wondering if what my friends say about their, ahem, intimate relationships is in fact accurate.
Perhaps I was wrong to think my lackluster experiences are what I must settle for.
Except Wyatt is holding something back. I can see the broken pieces of him lurking beneath his tattooed, charismatic exterior.
We couldn’t be more different, yet he makes me feel as if I finally belong somewhere. With someone.
Until the truth of who he is, and all the scars he’s hiding, come to light.

Love my time in Dogwood Cove
Every trip to Dogwood Cove always leaves me wanting more. This book was no exception. Wyatt & Paige were the epitome of opposites attract while at the same time being so much alike.
Wyatt works for his family’s big box bookstore company, & is taking some much needed time off in Dogwood Cove. Paige is the owner of the local bookstore, and she’s a wee bit quirky because of her sheltered upbringing.
When Wyatt first lays eyes on Paige, his instant attraction to her is based on what many find as a flaw, her freckles. There’s just something about freckles that draws him in. Not to mention, the conversation she was having with her friend about B.O.B.s at that time also didn’t hinder his noticing her. But Wyatt is certain that his true identity will deter Paige of ever giving him the chance to get even remotely close to getting to know her better. And, man oh man, does he want to get to know her better.
While Paige is suffering from a lifelong battle with asthma, she has to be very careful as to things she’s exposed to. But she’s found a happy medium in life that is allowing her to live life fully. Wyatt has his own setbacks that stem from the tragic loss of his twin brother. But though these two are so completely different socially & in regard to bedroom experience, they are exactly what the other needs to become their absolute best self.
Their connection is based on an insatiable attraction and is complete fire at its core. They just flat out fit. And when they finally cross that line, they both find that there’s so much more to live for. But they both have hurdles to overcome.
Can Paige look past his true identity to see the man she’s slowly fallen for? Can Wyatt see beyond her respiratory issues and not live in fear of losing another person he loves?
Audiobook Review:
Heather Firth & Neill Thorne captured these two characters exquisitely. They were both the complete embodiment of Paige & Wyatt & had me refusing to hit pause until the end.
