Twist
Narration was 5 stars and storyline was interesting but prefer a strong male lead and a female that overcomes obstacles . Sorry to say it missed on both grounds for me-unlike the authors hero’s/heroines in her
other books.
Joe continuously acted badly and out of self interest, and Alex not only put up with it but kept returning for more.
Spoiler Alert:
If a guy, after lying to you about his identity,
- sees his ex and neglects to tell you he has invited her to sleep in his apartment,
- puts up with the ex’s touches and flirting in front of you,
- in the middle of sex stops and premeditatedly tells you it’s over and you should leave town,
- then after dumping you justifies post-breakup booty call by cheaply labeling you just “friends with sometimes benefits”,
and then
- when you do finally leave - he goes radio silent deciding you aren’t worth pursuing despite your repeated contacts over months,
You would go back for more...why?
