A great twist to a classic
I loved it! I couldn’t put it down and read it all within a day! Was a really good twist to Aladdin and I’m excited to read the other stories that she did!

I literally read this book so fast. I sucked this story up. It’s amazing. If you don’t read this, you’ll regret it.
Yasmine and Julian have my heart. They inspire that spark in me that makes you wonder if it’s real. Read now, or as soon as you can, or you will be missing a part of your life. 💋❤️

It is very hard to dislike Julian in the beginning when the story start with him. Julian/Jafar takes the roll of Aladdin with growing up with less and rising to the top, but by his own hands and a help from his favorite pet. The more you hear Julian’s POV it is hard to dislike or look down on him for being heartless or ruthless for wanting nothing but power and money.
Yasmine is exactly what you think, rich. Yasmine stands up for herself, but only when it comes to Julian making demands of her otherwise it is difficult to see her bend and give I to the needs of others. Yasmine doesn’t bleed rich spoiled girl, but some parts of her bleed she knows nothing and has lived in a rich bubble. She does sound much younger than 23 at times which is irritating to over look sometimes.
My favorite parts were when Yasmine and Julian let down their walls and reflect on the feelings they get when the other person genuinely cares. The internal battles they both face are one of love and acceptance. Yasmine and Julian start off like any other rich girl and self made man (oh yes he’s a man) with hate and disgust. The passion and flame between them though is something that makes this book swoon worthy, you can feel the burn yourself.
I binged this book so hard! It is captivating and the narration is amazing, capturing emotion and desire better than any book I have listen too. If you love audiobooks this one is definitely in my top favorites now.
