Publisher Description
In this anti-slavery novel by the American author Harriet Beecher Stowe, Uncle Tom's Cabin is centered on the character of Uncle Tom, a long-suffering black slave around whom the stories of other characters - both fellow slaves and slave owners - revolve. This emotional novel portrays the reality of slavery while also stressing that Christian love can defeat something as damaging as enslavement of fellow human beings. Uncle Tom's Cabin was the best-selling book in the 19th century, and second best-selling following the Bible.

Frusterating!
While this audiobook is narrated excellently and is very entertaining it does not make up for the fact that halfway through (on Chapter 16) the recording skips about six chapters. I want my money back, or an adequate fix. Don't bother with this one. I am frusterated.
