Hart Family. Sweet Romantic

I received a copy for a voluntary and honest review.

Jenna comes from a large family with several firefighters. She is working at making a name for herself in fashion design. She is planning a show to showcase her designs and benefit the firefighters fund where her dad was chief and noe her brother is. Jenna because of her beauty and profession is thought of as shallow, even sometimes by her family but she isn’t. She is sweet thoughtful and capable of being hurt
She meets Larry, friend of her brother, scarred from saving children in a fire The story revolves around his lack of self worth after losing 1 child in the fire and his scarred face and body
Jenna knows they have very different lives but she doesn’t see his scars but the man
Their discovery of each other, misunderstanding of Jenna not only by Larry but her family, who will stick
Love and stick up for her

Always root for the underdog ...

Having already fallen in love with the Harts after reading the series, listening to Ms. Groberg brought even more delight. Relaxing delivery and the heart she puts into bringing these characters to life shines through with every word she speaks and character she she emotes. Serious subjects delivered with humor, heart and wisdom. Ms. Ayala is good at her craft. I lost a piece of my heart within this cute tale.

Fashion and Firemen

This is the second book for the Hart family with Jenna, a fashion designer. She comes home to do a fashion show with her designs and involves her brother, the fire chief and the rest of the fire department plus Larry. Larry had to quit being a fireman after a fire that ended up burning him quite badly. He has an inferior complex about his looks and scars. Jenna can look past them but he doesn't believe that. She gets a basset hound to be her signature mark but he runs away and Larry finds him. Jenna has Larry keep the dog to train him. Larry gets attached to the dog. With a lot of misunderstandings and some troubles, Larry finally sees that he's letting his scars keep him from living to the fullest. I really like how the Hart family comes together and supports each other and Larry. This is a great story that I'm sure you'd like since Rachelle Ayala does a wonderful writing of it. Jennifer Groberg narration is great - especially Harley, the basset hound's howling :) I received a free copy for my honest review.
