Publisher Description
My husband. My tormentor.
The most notorious man in the city offers me a job.
Act as his dead wife.
Adrian Volkov isn’t the type of person who takes no for an answer.
He commands with an iron fist and all his orders are met.
When he approaches me with the offer, I have two options.
Go to prison or put myself under his wrath.
I choose to have a roof over my head. What’s so hard about acting, right?
Wrong.
The moment I step into his wife’s shoes, everything spirals out of control.
My only way of survival is through Adrian.
Or is it?
Vow of Deception is book one of a trilogy and is not stan-dalone.

Love it
Great storyline!! Great characters
Narration throws me off
The audio track specifically is weird to me. During the chapters portraying the FMC pov the female narrator does both male and female voices. Same goes for the MMC pov chapters (male voice performing both male and female roles). It throws me off and I couldn’t get past it. Ended up buying the book because at least in my head the voices are consistent. Otherwise I really enjoyed the book and look forward to the others
Seems to positively sexualize rape
I imagine the story line will be good, however I didn’t get very far into it because it seemed to positively sexualize rape. My husband and I both were listening to it and both agreed it wasn’t for us. So much work has gone into teaching men how to respect women and that women mean it when we say “no.” I worry this may undo some of those efforts. Just my and my husband’s concerns and feedback. I wish it wasn’t part of the book because I am intrigued by the book otherwise. The narrators are good.
