Spenser is investigating the Port City Theater Company, where the director claims he's being stalked. When an actor is shot dead during a performance, all clues lead to the local Chinese Mafia, whose roots run deep in this drab waterfront city. With Hawk and ex mobster Vinnie assisting, Spenser eventually triumphs in one of his most compelling adventures.
Great book, HORRIBLE reader
This is a great story and I'm trying to find the paperback to read. This is the only of the many Parker audiobooks I own that is read by this reader. He's horrible, doesn't fit the characters at all and sounds bored.
A GREAT book ruined by a horrendous narrator. Sounds like a 15 yr old Boy Scout, rather than the tough, wise-cracking Spenser.
The reader has a nice kid voice. He should do teenage romance novels. He can't do adult voices. DO NOT BUY. The worst reader I've ever listened to.
