Cowritten by two of the biggest voices in young-adult fiction, What If It’s Us is a perfectly imperfect romance that anyone can relate to.

Charming
At first, I was turned off when I discovered how naïve and youthful these protagonists are, as high school juniors pondering their first gay romance. But it’s also eye-opening. In my junior year, an event called the Stonewall Rebellion occupied the news and changed gay lives forever. Recognizing just how far we’ve come made this an entertaining excursion, and the two young actors who voice these roles do a terrific job. To be sure: this book is directed at a young adult audience, and there’s a level of naïveté from this female author (no sex) that simply borders on Wishful Thinking. But I was totally entertained.

I can tell you right now that this 📕 and even more so this 🎧 will ALWAYS hold a VERY special place in my heart. I’ve had it since its release date (as well as the sequel) and I can’t believe it’s taken me SO long to read/listen to it… 💞💞💞‼️
