Publisher Description
From USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa comes a deeply emotional small-town romance about a runaway heiress, a tattooed protector, and the marriage that was never supposed to be real—until love found them anyway.
He was never supposed to love her—especially not her baby.
I didn’t plan on ending up in Birchwood Springs.
But after escaping a brutal marriage and discovering I’m pregnant, this town—and the broody tattoo artist who swore to protect me—might be the only shot I have at starting over.Atlas Timberbridge is nothing like the world I left behind.
He’s all inked arms, gruff silence, and an unexpected gentleness that makes my heart ache.
Pretending we were married was for my protection.
A temporary arrangement meant to keep me hidden from my vicious husband.
We agree to keep it strictly business. No feelings. No future.
But the longer I stay, the more this small town—and this man—start to feel like home.
Now I’m falling for my fake husband… and terrified he’ll never be able to love me back.
Because small towns have long memories.
And secrets don’t stay buried forever.

A wonderful story
When Love Found Us ended up being a much more emotional story than I expected it to be!
Although I did not start this series from the beginning, I'd listened to Timberbridge Bros. #2 so I had some idea of the strained family relationship between the brothers. I thought that CB did a great job exploring those dynamics from Atlas' POV; there is one chapter in particular where several of the boys lay it all out there, and I loved how impacted they all were by their father's behavior.
The slow-burn love story between Atlas and Blythe was so well-written. There was amazing growth fron Atlas, going from a guy who wants no ties at the start of the book to one who was completely obsessed with a baby girl who wasn't biologically his by the end. Despite his gruff, grumpy exterior, Atlas was such a softie when it came to Blythe and taking care of her, providing for her. (Especially in how things go down with her ex-husband!!!!) And ultimately, not wanting their fake marriage to end. And Blythe... she'd been through so much, and was so much stronger than she thought she was. It was wonderful to see her bloom in the safe space that Atlas provided for her and through her friendships she makes with the other wives/girlfriends.
There are still some unanswered questions about Atlas and the organization targeting the town that I hoped would have been answered in When Love Found Us, but were not. I guess we still have a few books to go in this series to tie up those loose ends.
Vanessa Edwin and Sean Masters delivered standout performances with the audio on this book!
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
Fantastic Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Heartfelt!
Wow, this fantastic small town romance pulls you in right from the start, grabbing your attention and your heartstrings, holding both tightly until the very end. Another Timberbridge brother returns to Birchwood Springs, his hometown, and it is not a happy return or reunion with his other brothers. Atlas Timberbridge is the outcast of the family, never accepted or fitting in with his half-brothers, but loved by his step-mom, who included him in her will. Atlas is a talented and sought after tattoo artist, and he never had to give up his wandering ways because he is an accepted guest at many tattoo parlors and his clients find him. He also has a hidden past, working for an organization who gets things done and with everything going on in Birchwood Springs with his father’s property and business, there are investigations going on and protections in place, as well as look outs. Atlas’ familiarity with the area and people makes him an asset, despite not being the friendliest or very social, but he will run his own tattoo parlor in town with living quarters included. Blythe escapes from her abusive, controlling husband and is on the run, landing in Birchwood Springs, where she lines up a job, and then has another handed to her. Atlas sees how skittish she is and knows she is hiding something, but hires her for his business, regardless. Once he finds out what is going on with her, he goes into full protective mode and has his connections to look into her ex, who is not a good man. Neither was looking to get involved with anyone, but the chemistry between these two was undeniable. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all plays out, with a perfect balance of drama, angst, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, lots of heartfelt emotions and slow burn, but so worth the wait romance. As always with Burgoa’s books, the writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. I also loved how she pieced things together and seeing the start of the brothers letting go of the anger of their past, hope to see more healing of themselves and their relationships in the future. Claudia Burgoa, thanks for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Vanessa Edwin and Sean Masters deliver a fantastic performance, bringing these characters to life, humanizing them, giving each a voice that is fitting and is convincing in every role. Edwin’s portrayal of Blythe was spot on, grasping every aspect of her personality, her from her skittish side to her strength and determination. Masters nails it as Atlas, and was just as fabulous showcasing his personality, his angst, his protectiveness and caring side. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary/side characters too. Setting the perfect tone for the story, they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feel each one. These two made a great team, with voices and talent that complement each and a performance that keeps you glued to the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
