Publisher Description

God designed men to seek out adventure. But, somewhere between childhood and the struggles of yesterday, most men lose sight of those dreams. Fear not: bestselling author and counselor John Eldredge is here to teach men that there's a better way to live.

In this expanded edition of the timeless bestseller Wild at Heart, Eldredge unpacks man's search for validation, the need for the development of courage in his soul, and the call to live a life of adventure.

Using discoveries from his own life and backing them with scripture, Eldredge reminds men that although their childhood passions, dreams, and desires may start getting buried under deadlines, pressures, and disappointments, it doesn't have to be this way.

In fact, God made men to embrace a life of courage, adventure, and freedom. He created men to take risks and find true purpose and belonging.

Wild at Heart invites men to experience wholeheartedness by:
Recovering their true masculine heartHealing the wounds and trauma in their storiesDelighting in the wildness they were created to offer the worldDiscovering the life-giving power of natureHelping them to discover the truth about what makes them come alive

Join Eldredge as he calls men to discover the true secret of the masculine soul and finally start living the life God intended for every man.

Favorite Book I’ve ever Read

Love this book. A friend told me to read it. I read the whole book and then bought the audio book. It brought me closer to God and I have a better understanding of life in general as a male.

Pick My Boogers Please! ,

Disgusting

I’ve already crapped on other versions of this dangerous book, and I’ll get straight to the point that I wasn’t able to make in the other reviews. This authors sugary references to the Civil War and other conflicts are given special attention in order to force down our throats the author’s delusion that life is a sappy romance/adventure film with action, having seen far too many movies of this sort. And I’ll just say it; his references to Shakespeare’s Henry V makes him seem like a major butthole who really wants to sound smart, all the while twisting the play completely out of shape. All this while he twists up the Bible to fit his own philosophy while never once considering the possibility that he’s only a human being whose knowledge is finite. If this was my introduction to Jesus, I’d never follow him over my dead body. As for the poor deceived reviewer who said C.S. Lewis would have approved this book, he wouldn’t have. He would have condemned the overemphasis on pop culture references and battle references rather than scripture. I hope this author gets his comeuppance and finds true salvation rather than leading the congregation into a foxhole full of barbed wire.

Genius for Christians and believe in God beyond us, amazing

If C.S Lewis will still alive , I bet you he will give this book a five stars , impressive beyond great.
