Cute Enough Story
It’s hard to believe a 32 year old woman would make the decisions she did, and even harder to believe in lay people successfully investigating a murder…however, if you can suspend your disbelief and just enjoy a good story, you can love this book. I will be buying the second book just to see if she’s successful in locating her father. *I did find the protagonist’s mother to be a horrible person, she’s the one that seems to be the ultimate “Karen” and a selfish narcissist. Her handling of the situations left me feeling icky and gave me a lot more sympathy for our girl. Otherwise, I am hopeful for a happy new life in a happy little town for the lead character. I’d say take a listen.
Covid Friendly Listen...
I’ve started a weird thing during covid WFH. I get distracted by TV but audio books work. As a story this is young adult... but did anyone else notice what a problematic white girl this was? She had one thing she had to do, not read a book, and homegirl couldn’t help it. She put everything in jeopardy cuz nosy and takes ZERO responsibility. Complete Karen. It’s hilarious. But at $1.99 I’ll be buying others.
Terrible!
Narration is awful! Very annoying to listen to. And the story just drags on. This isn’t worth your time.
