Publisher Description
Teaching is more than a vocation; it is an avocation. Excellence in this calling goes far beyond the borders of proficiency in content knowledge and pedagogy. A true teacher is a facilitator of learning. The bottom line is that if students aren't learning, you aren't teaching, no matter the pedigree or length of your credentials. This audiobook is not an outline for teaching; it's a guide for reaching students. All students. You Are a Teacher is a succinct, inspirational, and pragmatic guide for all aspiring teachers, novice teachers, and veteran teachers committed to the mission of bridging the gap between ignorance and enlightenment!
These words of wisdom are joyfully and prayerfully shared by veteran educator Guy A. Whitlock, Esq. As a respected trial attorney he has conducted over 30 criminal jury trials from homicide on down, as well as numerous civil proceedings. As an award-wining public school educator, Mr. Whitlock made outstanding contributions to the lives of thousands of students in his capacities as teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent for personnel in the state of New Jersey during his 20-year career.

MAGNIFICENT!
As a veteran public school teacher and administrator, I find, “You Are A
Teacher” an invaluable resource for teachers at every stage of their teaching
careers from novice to veteran. It lasers in on the principles of teaching every
teacher should know, and the principles you have “forgotten to know.”
NOT FOR TEACHERS ONLY
Those of us who also facilitate learning outside of the classroom
as community leaders, managers, mentors, parents, peers, and trainers will also
be edified by this book.
Equally impressive about this succinct little guide
is Mr. Whitlock’s narration. His genuine joy and commitment to the profession
and to the students bleeds through every pearl of wisdom that he shares.
On another note, he also has a great voice! We need to hear more from this
educator. Bravo!
