Interesting
Not really a book, just a bunch of lectures. Some interesting content but also a bunch of annoying chicks in the audience constantly laughing at his bad jokes. But entertaining and insightful.
This is it!
Like sitting with an old friend, these recordings give us Alan Watts' flair for bringing Eastern thought to the Western Mind with his own unique wit and insight. Not sure what the last reviewer was saying about 3 1/2 hrs, it says 10+ hours and it delivers. If you can manage the cost, a must have for anyone interested in these meaningful ideas!
I would highly recommend this to those on the "lose you ego" trip
If you've been on a trip to go beyond your ego, I highly recommend this work, its a nice collection that hits all the essentials. If you've followed Ram Dass or Eckhart Tolle, it is important you listen to the pointers Watts gives as they are a "darker" side to the spiritual journey. This is like spending 12 hours with a Zen master who knocks you over, again and again until you see more and more into the mechanics of ego. In the end, you will see you cannot improve yourself and never could and in seeing this, you find just the improvement you were looking for.
