Great recipes
I make the pad see ew all the time. Also the spicy pork stir fry and the Buddha’s delight is amazing. I’m from the east coast so some of the recipes are different than what I am used to at Chinese restaurants here but still very delicious. I expected the Mongolian need to taste like of Chang’s but it was nothing like it but still delicious. There are a lot of accessible recipes.
Great idea poorly executed
While I have no doubt this dude can cook, he needs much better editors for his cookbook to be useful. Several recipes are missing info or steps, i.e. “mix a batter of flour and water” and… for good luck? Shame on Alton Brown for endorsing this book without thoroughly reading the recipes.
A must have for any home cook or chef
Jet Tila’s book, with the foreword from Alton Brown, is a must have for anyone who wants true authentic Asian dishes within minutes inside their home. All of the recipes are easy to read and learn; and bring you Asian dishes upon minutes of getting the wok hot.
Jet gives you recipes for not just authentic main dishes but also appetizers, sauces and BAMF Sriracha!
I encourage anyone who loves Asian food, or just simply- food, to buy this book.
