Publisher Description
The chilling novella featured in Stephen King’s New York Times bestselling collection Full Dark, No Stars, 1922 is about a man who succumbs to the violence within—setting in motion a grisly train of murder and madness.
Wilfred James owns eighty acres of farmland in Nebraska that have been in his family for generations. His wife, Arlette, owns an adjoining one hundred acres. She wants to sell her land but if she does, Wilfred will be forced to sell as well. James will do anything to hold onto his farm, and he'll get his son to go along.
Betrayal, murder, madness, rats, 1922 is a breathtaking exploration into the dark side of human nature from the great American storyteller Stephen King.

WOW
I have watched the movie and now I can say I’ve read the book to match it! Both are amazing but I prefer the book version. It allows the mind to wander, to create its own visions and details. I hang onto every word and wowzers this book kept me on my toes!
This is the second book I’ve read by King, and I’ve already started a 3rd!
Some things I enjoyed about “1922”:
• Certain words reminded me of my Grandfather, and it made me smile thinking of all the memories we shared. My Papa was a country man thru and thru so this was almost…nostalgic to read in the way things were worded, the year, the farm, the cows. That sorta thing.
• I love how these characters were written, very detailed, enough for me to try and make them come to life by drawing. I love how easy it was to imagine certain things in this book. I looked around my room several times trying to put what was in the book in my present room.
• Something that stood out to me were the names of these characters. I love “old timey” names, so these characters really made me happy!
I highly recommend this book. The horror of it all was perfect, King knows how to scare ya that’s for sure!
The ending really caught me off guard!
this was the best read of mine this year
the entirety of the book is perfect i don’t want to get too deep into it but i loved this book so much i used it for an assignment for one of my classes. absolutely loved it- and it’s not a long read! i read it in one sitting
