Felt numb reading it
I honestly don’t know what to say about this book… It’s obviously a commentary on past governments/events and our society as a whole, it’s obviously a warning about what might happen to us if we stay dormant over those who rule us, it’s obviously an essay on humanity… But it didn’t really make me feel anything.
Maybe that’s to show how bad things have gotten in this global political climate but I was just reading it just to say I read it. Nothing really surprised me.
I do think it was an important book, especially for the time period it was released and I do believe it’s a must-read. It’s just not one of my favorite books.
It's a good thing I've learned some French
Haha, I've read the reviews lamenting the fact that this publication is entirely in French (I too initial thought the "FR" meant "Free"). But, I'm grabbing it and using it as an opportunity to refresh my French reading comprehension, and I'll probably find the English version elsewhere anyways 😂.

Tried to rush get this book bc I told my gf I was reading it just to spend $25 to download it in French lol
