Publisher Description
As some of you may know, Prohibition locked the barkeep out of the bar and threw away the craft of the cocktail. We want to showcase 25 cocktails that survived the death and rebirth of the American Bartender to give you enough information about each to expand your working knowledge of drink making.
These recipes were selected for the enthusiast, both professional and amateur. They serve as a guide to inspire those who seek to customize traditional cocktails to suit a discerning palate. The goal is to create a better drink experience for the imbiber.

Great use of iBook format
The instructional videos (both long-form and short-form) are exceptionally well done. This is the best cocktail book I have seen on iTunes (and I own more than a few) simply because it was clearly created for the format. The material is to the point, yet provides detailed information on ingredients, history, methods and presentation when you want it.
I will be first in line to purchase Volume 2!
Recommended for seasoned professionals or home enthusiasts.
The Tippler sez Drink It In
Only thing better would be a drink mixed by the author at the bar, a long one, wickedly smooth and delicious all the way along. Of course it's beautiful to look at and as other reviewers have said, enjoyable for the reader as well as the drinker, especially if you're thirsty for a tot of history. Best feature of classic cocktails is the respect for the liquor itself, especially brown goods. That was pre Prohibition and pre Sex in the Raspberry City. The best bartenders had it and Dean has that same sense, one we almost lost. Forget the chocolate martini and learn to appreciate a Manhattan again. 25 Classic Cocktails tells you how. And why too.
