Not good illustrations, wrong pictures

This book is structured for children, but uses a picture of a BEER can to teach them how to spell can, and shows a picture of a gun. What kind of a message is that sending to young learners?!
The book also uses a photo that is incorrect for one of the words which is very confusing for some students
