300 Words to Boost Your Vocabulary
Publisher Description
Back when I first started college, I struggled to understand some of the college-level vocabulary. I developed a simple strategy to fix that: I started underlining every word I didn't know, looking it up in the dictionary, and transcribing it for later review. I'd go over this mounting word-list three or four times a month. As time went by, the words started to sink in. As my vocabulary expanded, my reading comprehension shot way up.
I never stopped executing this strategy. Finding new words remain an intricate part of my reading experience. This eBook contains 300 words I found that way. For a brief etymology of each word, I include their definitions from Samuel Johnson's 1755 dictionary and Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. Check out this eBook if you want to learn some cool new words.
