Ancestral History
Publisher Description
The mid-17th century mass migration from England to America: Four British families establish their homes along the Connecticut shores, James Avery in New London (Groton) in 1644; John Baldwin Sr. in Milford in 1638, Edward Frisbie in Totoket (Branford) in 1644, and Rev. Nehemiah Smith resides in New London county, Long Island, NY (1644-1655), and in 1659 Norwich. Some members of each of the four families continue the migration early in the 19th century to resettle Ohio with western culture after the War of 1812. This is my family’s beginnings.
