Good translation!
This is a fun book, with a protagonist who is both extremely competent *and* doing things that are on the edges of her abilities, somehow both at the same time. I love it. (I read the first volume of the manga first, then sampled this, then bought it. The manga's imagery does well paired with the novel, so I'd suggest at least sampling both.)
