Publisher Description
A man obsessed. A girl abducted. The darkest love story ever told...
Kidnapped. Taken to a private island.
I never thought this could happen to me. I never imagined one chance meeting on the eve of my eighteenth birthday could change my life so completely.
Now I belong to him. To Julian. To a man who is as ruthless as he is beautiful—a man whose touch makes me burn. A man whose tenderness I find more devastating than his cruelty.
My captor is an enigma. I don’t know who he is or why he took me. There is a darkness inside him—a darkness that scares me even as it draws me in.
My name is Nora Leston, and this is my story.
If you like your romance dark, addictive, and scandalously hot, you don't want to miss this NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING series!

Dark but Sensual
Yes, this book is dark. There is a lack of consent and some violence. However, it IS a love story. This reader, at least, accepted and forgave the hero for his actions because of the way he loved and protected the heroine. I found the love scenes to be sensual, and Zaires is a very good writer. This isn't just 'porn without plot' - there is a gripping story here. It's also worth noting that 1) even though this is a series, this book ends on a satisfying note, rather than an annoying cliffhanger; and 2) the book is well-edited. Mistake-filled books drive me crazy. This is a very solid erotica novel, well-worth the read!
Riveting
This is the story of Julien and Nora. A love story? Not in the typical sense. This not a fluffy story. It is written from the perspective of a young woman who has been kidnapped by a monster. She is held captive for 15 months by a man that she both fears and is attracted to. I loved the story and I'm looking forward to its continuation. I've read the Krinar series...I don't think that Julien is as redeeming as Korum. He kidnapped Nora because he wanted her. She had no contact with anyone from the outside world. I really didn't know how the author was going to turn the story so that I would ultimately root for them to be together...but she did. This isn't a story for everyone...even if you like the Krinar series...this is grittier, darker and explicit. Well worth the read.
Read the whole book
I guess it just depends on your age when you’re reading this book. And maybe read the whole thing before you make up your mind.
I like that it wasn’t traditional love story. If Julian wasn’t his character and he was just a regular guy and a regular love story, then it would have just been an ok read to me. But I really liked it ! And the end explained a whole lot.
Im not sure if I wanna read number 2, only because im happy with Norah and Julian love story I don’t want it to change lol
