A veteran Detroit 9-1-1 operator with over 25 years experience answers the question, “What is it like to answer 9-1-1 calls?” The book describes the job description, work environment, how operators interact with callers, and detailed accounts of actual calls. Presented in a witty, sometimes darkly humorous way that will give the reader a front-row seat to a world that has always been a phone call away until now. Informative, and includes some graphic call descriptions.
9-1-1 in the 313
