Captivating Story…Must Read
Interior designer Allison Miers has recently found her birth family. She has been wondering her entire life, who her birth family was and if she would ever find them. She discovered them through a bone marrow donation match. Allison is now cancer free, thanks to an amazing gift of life from her sister. Her family has offered Allison a trust fund if she would stay in Louisiana and give their town a chance. Allison desires a relationship with her new found birth family and so she agrees. She arrives just in time for the kick off of the Cypress Bayou Christmas Festival. But the season comes with family drama that she wasn’t really anticipating. Soon she meets Nick Landry, who happens to be the local mechanic. As they spend time together, the sparks begin to fly. Nick has secrets of his own and she isn’t sure he will open up to her. Will this Christmas be one that will be unforgettable or one that she will want to soon forget?
I absolutely love this story line. The thought of an organ donor giving the gift of life to someone they don’t know, and then come to find out that the recipient is a long lost family member, was so heart-warming. I was immediately captivated from the very first page. I was immersed and was so enthralled with this book that I didn’t want to put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. I loved the family members, including their drama. There was something about them that kept me coming back for more. I completely devoured this phenomenal book, it was inspiring and heart-warming, and not one that I will soon forget. This story has made me ready to put up the Christmas tree and hang the twinkling lights. This is a perfect addition to the Louisiana Series, however it can be read as a stand-alone novel, but my suggestion is to read the whole series. I highly recommend this book, it must be at the very top of your ‘to be read pile’.
Thank you Susan Sands for such an amazing addition to this wonderful series. I enjoyed it very much, it was truly heart-warming, and I highly recommend it.
