Transcription errors abound

Some of them were of the wrong-word variety, some seemed to be OCR-style errors, e.g., the river in Alsace, a tributary to the Rhine, is Ill, not 111.

Unfortunately the errors interfered with continuity.

I’m not sure why I chose this: set in the 14th c. plague years, the plight of Jews in the Middle Ages, and a religious mixed marriage are just so fraught with tragedy, which is not something I care to read.

Be that as it may, character development was robust, as were the descriptions of daily life of a minor noble of that era, and the character depiction.
