Jacob Anderson has grown up inside these walls. His life is normal. Sports. School. Hanging out with friends - sneaking over the walls to the Outside to find comic books and learn what kids did in the Old-World. Typical activities for someone about to turn eighteen.

What isn't normal are Jacob's abilities and that his father insists he keeps them secret from everyone.

After a tragic event takes his father's life, Jacob is approached by Victor Volcan, his dad's best friend, who introduces him to other humans with unique and miraculous abilities just like him.
