Beth is a fighter when it comes to dealing with grief and her own health crisis. As she continues to mourn her mother and help run the family B&B with her dad, all she wants is to keep the business out of the red. But when a late-night argument with her boss wakes a gorgeous, but grumpy guest, she worries he could leave a ruinous review that affects their ratings. With the inn's reputation on the line, she goes overboard apologizing, only to discover he has a particular skill that might get her out of a jam.
Ryder is a war veteran who returned from the Middle East a broken man, barely keeping it together until he leaves the forces. After being convinced to lead a returned services support group, he finds the more he gives back, the lighter his soul starts to feel. But when he begins to settle into civilian life and finally attain some peace, his brother takes off, leaving Ryder in charge of his niece. With his sibling AWOL, and a full schedule of work, he desperately needs help.
Can Beth convince Ryder that they could rescue each other? Or will the cautious combat hero reject her tempting offer?
A Braveheart for Beth is the second offering in the Lotus Season series. If you like heart-warming stories with believable characters, then you'll love this Gillian Mayne sweet read.
Wow I loved everything about this book. The storyline is believable and kept me turning the pages to find out if Beth and Ryder would get their very well deserved HEA having both gone through so much to survive. The characters are well written in such a heartfelt way you can’t help but cheer them on.
