A Candle Is My Sun

This is the story of two sisters, Engrid and Louise, who came from Finland to America in the late 1890's. Louise came to marry her love and Engrid to leave the cold darkness of winter. Together they struggled to build new lives in this land of great promise. This stroy is about their adjustment to a strange land, their loves, their losses and the dangers and hardships endured in choosing to settle in a town built around the mining industry.
