Publisher Description
The one that got away is now the one I refuse to let go.
Enlisting was one of my life goals, so was marrying my high school sweetheart Sophie and escaping our small town. Nothing has ever hurt me more than when she turned down my proposal.
I was stupid back then, heartbroken and foolish. A one-night stand was supposed to help me get over Sophie, instead I got the girl pregnant and ruined any chance of Sophie ever looking my way again.
For the last few years I’ve focused on being the best father and soldier I could be. Now I’ve done my duty for my country and it’s time to take over raising my daughter, her mother insists it’s my turn. What better place to do it, than in my own hometown?
Sophie has moved on and is now a successful bakery owner, but she’s still the woman I could never forget. My daughter is her biggest fan, secretly so am I.
With a series of burglaries in town, Sophie is worried her bakery is next. I might not have made the right decisions all those years ago, but this time I’m going to prove to Sophie that I’m the right man for her.
A future without her simply isn’t an option.

Feel Good Romance
This is the start of another new series from Lea Coll and it is off to a great start. Abby is a wedding photographer that we have met in the Second Chance Harbor series by this author and Nick is the cousin of Ethan, from Fighting Chance (Book 1). Nick comes into town for Ethan and Savannah's wedding and hooks up with Abby. This is a purely one night thing as Abby is a single mother, having been abandoned by her husband when her son, Hunter, was born and Nick will be gone the next day.
Fast forward and Nick has moved to town to look after his nephew, Brody, and coach is baseball team, which Hunter is also on. This puts Abby and Nick together again, but with Abby's trust and abandonment issues and her low self esteem on whether or not she is worthy of love, Nick has his work cut out for him. Abby suggests an 'arrangement' that they act on their attraction, but don't catch any feelings, and Nick agrees as this will allow him to spend time with Abby and hopefully he can make her change her mind.
This is a great read, it is good to meet the new characters, but also to catch up with others from previous series. There is a sense of completion when these characters come together. This is an easy going, low angst feel good story, that doesn't disappoint.
