They wanted our children to raise as their own
Since her husband, Josef, joined the Czech resistance three years ago, Anna Dankova has done everything possible to keep her daughter, Ema, safe. But when blonde haired, blue-eyed Ema is ripped from her mother’s arms in the local marketplace by the dreaded Brown Sisters, nurses who were dedicated to Hitler’s cause, Anna is forced to go to new extremes to take back what the Nazis have stolen from her.
Going undercover as a devoted German subject eager to prove her worth to the Reich, the former actress takes on a role of a lifetime to find and save her daughter. Absolutely harrowing but such an incredible story
I was enthralled with this story my heart was racing while reading what was happening to these mothers their children all the families impacted and torn apart forever and the ruthless cruel truly evil that the Germans imposed upon them was shockingly abhorrent. The pure hatred abuse violence and terror they’d brought down upon millions all for their hateful and inhumane ideals is almost too much to even comprehend let alone endure or live through but the will of the human who were strong and held onto one another helped strangers and more importantly those who put themselves in harms way helping to fight against the genocide abductions and abuses were the true heroes and brought the hope and faith to others and myself while reading this. While there is so many hateful evil inhumane beings in this world there is also the good the compassionate and the ones who will never let go of their own integrity and continue to do what’s right and just even when evil and terror is all around them. They are who give those suffering horrific coincidences now the will to hold onto their faith their hope and their love for their fellow humans and no matter how dark souls can be the light and love will always persevere and overcome the dark. It will take over and bring the light back to those trapped in the darkness.
