Publisher Description
Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.
The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Take a timeless faerie legend, add a lively heroine, throw in plenty of wild imagination, and you have the makings for one incredible fourth volume in the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Impulsive and hot-tempered, Nesta is the black-sheep sister of her country’s ruler, Feyre Archeron. She’s unenthusiastic about her own place in the faerie world, often falling back on vices like sex and gambling to cope with the many traumas and tragedies she endured on her way into the magical inner circle known as the Cauldron. So when her intense disdain for a shell-shocked soldier suddenly turns to unbridled passion, you can bet that sparks are about to fly. We loved how flawed and relatable Nesta is, with a tough exterior she puts on to protect herself from being hurt. Bursting with dark magic, rich character development, and plenty of steamy romance, A Court of Silver Flames will cast its spell on you in no time.

💕
I would sell my soul to read this book for the first time again!
Overused cliches and tiredly overwritten porn mislabeled as YA
Overused: "bared [her] teeth and "former" and "latter".
Overwritten: unnecessarily explicit sex that have n business being in a YA book. Not to mention they drone on so long you have to actually skip pages to prevent losing attention to the true story.
This book does zero justice to the series. And don't write in a "critical" challenge that can be easily avoided with a solution that is fundamental to the character (read: SHAPESHIFTER could have avoided the issue by SHAPESHIFTING)
Ms. Maas needs a better editor. But perhaps making Times' BSL excuses the terrible trash interspersed throughout her books.
The BEST book in the series
This book is written in Nesta’s POV and it was my absolute favorite. There is less of Rhys and Feyre than usual but Nesta story in this book makes up for it. Her character development throughout the entire series and especially in this book is so well written that you feel like you have lived her life. Chefs kiss
