Two were meant to be
Maggie (Magnolia) Blackwell has been living her life without her family. The four sisters, mother and aunt were called the Blackwell Belles. They were performing trick riders, until Maggie had an accident and the group broke up because she felt abandoned at the hospital when everyone left her alone. It’s been twelve years and she hasn’t spoken to any of them until now. At least she has her best friend, Clem. He also is struggling with not having his family in his life. He has always loved Maggie but never said a word. He didn’t want to lose his best friend. She always keeps to herself, worked all the time and never made other friends. Maggie and Clem were performing as rodeo clowns when Maggie fell in front of the bull. Clem pushed her out the way. Clem gets hurt. Along with her mother, grandmother and great-uncle E they travel in a RV to take Clem home after he’s released from the hospital. Between her family and pretending with Clem, she’s struggling. Hopefully her family will leave once she and Clem get home and things will be back to normal. Will everyone go home? Will Clem finally tell her he really loves her? Once he gets his memory back, they still pretend. Why? Does Maggie realize that deep down she’s loved him? Can she get over her past and move forward with Clem? Will she and her mother finally put their differences behind them and become a family again? I was rooting for everyone because family is everything. Maggie and Clem deserve to be together. You can see it in the story. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.
