A Dark Adapted Eye, Ruth Rendell

Very difficult to read. I realized it was written backwards as so many by Toni Morrison. I lost patience w. this rare style long ago - life's too short.

So I read the ending & was them entranced as I expect to be w. Ruth Rendell.
