출판사 설명
The Duke is her brother's best friend…
Which is the ONLY reason the Duke of Upton agrees to take Anna Smith away from London to protect the fragile beauty. Rath's dark looks and derelict life are not compatible with the effervescent Anna. In fact, she quakes in fear every time he comes near her.
As she should. If she had any idea the dark past he holds in his cold black heart, she'd surely run screaming from his country estate.
And that can't happen because he's not the biggest bad in the North of England. When the very villain who forced her to flee London finds her, Rath, beast of a man that he is, is the only one who can protect her.
To truly keep her safe, he has to keep her close. And soon it's not fear that has her trembling in his arms, and his need to protect her has nothing to do with duty.
But his past is as much a danger as hers and soon he realizes that she isn't just his
greatest temptation and his most important job.
She's also….
His one weakness.

Picture of the Duke
While one of the villains trying to force the Smiths to sell their gaming hells has left England, the other is still here, and still dangerous. Ace wants to send Anna, his younger sister, to the country for her safety. He tasks Rath, Duke of Upton, with taking her and keeping her safe. Rath would rather stay in London to help fight the enemy, but he very reluctantly agrees and, along with Mira and Boxby, escorts her to his country estate. The trip got off to a bad start. He grouched and they argued. When they reached his estate, they began to talk and open up to each other. Rath can’t believe they are falling for each other. Danger reaches them and threatens Mira. Will Rath be able to protect her? This is a enjoyable slow-burn, opposites attract romance. Rath and Anna are great characters. She is shy and artistic. He is big and rough and protective. The story is slightly unpredictable and holds your attention. A good addition to the series.
