Great book
As a resident of several different prisons both state and federal, I really enjoyed reading about the "other side of the coin". To get the opposite side view was very entertaining. This book is written with an appropriate amount of wit and humor and doesn't come across as preachy or with an us v them slant. I also read his other book maximum insecurity and enjoyed it as well. The only thing I wish the author would have addressed is how he handled patients who legitimately needed pain pills. I'm a chronic pain patient myself so it would have been nice to hear his take on dealing with those types of people.
A Doctor On The Inside
This book, along with Maximum Security were both very engaging, educational, informative, insightful and funny. I like books that are different from my life experience so that I not only enjoy the books, I LEARN from them. I wish Dr. Wright all the best and appreciate his public service. I'm pretty sure he didn't go into this line of medicine for the money.
Great Read
I read this book over the course of a few days and I didn't want to put it down. I love the flow of the book and the great detail the author puts in making sure you can visualize the the setting and people mentioned. Awesome book.
