A Dollar & Sense

A Dollar & Sense is a poetry project book that personifies adolescence as an unreachable lover that leaves just as it arrives. This fear of departure, which propagates before the "end of adolescence", creates a specific anxiety of time which propels the project into fragmented memories, grief, and the mourning of what was and what will be now that it is gone.

Through a progressive narrative that initially imbues traditional poetic form, this project establishes itself as a representation of the awkwardness of growing up and lifelong attempts at correcting pain inherited at birth and culminating over years of growth.

Based on the real experiences of the poet, B.L.H, A Dollar & Sense explores immature love's affects, introspective insights into the process of grief, and reconciliation with your childlike wonder.
