Her attraction toward him cannot be denied, but it must be concealed if she's to avoid detection and the risk of losing her job. The more time she spends with him, however, the closer she comes to heartache and ruin. For as it turns out, Mr. Evans is not who he claims to be either.

Another fun read!
Another amusing story in the saga of three Dukes who happen to be best friends, in financial straits and co-authors in a romance book. Brody, the Duke of Corwin happens to seem a help wanted sign in the window of a publisher for an assistant editor. Thinking that this may just be his lucky day and a way to get their novel published he accepts the job as Mr. Evans. Meeting the rest of the staff he is drawn to Harry Michaels, the young man who is the composer. This completely confuses him, he loves women, adores them. So how can he accept this attraction he has for Harry.
Harriet has tried several different jobs to support herself and her little sister. Gentry that was shown out the door at the age of 16. Discovering that dress as a lad she can get a better paying job and it is safer dressed that way. Two years and no problems till she meets the new employee and there is such a strong attraction, but she is acting the part of a man and that is wrong on so many accounts.
A fun fast read, love the doubts that has Brody all confused. The continuing question of the novel and the HEA. One more Duke to go. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. Who is Harry?
Brody Evans, Duke of Corwin, Anthony Gibbs, Duke of Westcliffe and Callum Davis have much in common. They are friends, they lost their fathers in the same accident, and their finances are in bad shape, to put it mildly. They are wracking their brains for a way to correct the situation that is of their own doing. The friends have an idea to help recoup their finances. They are going to write a book. Brody stumbles across a printshop with an advertisement for an assistant editor. He takes the job for two reasons, income and the chance of publishing the dukes’ book. Harriet, Harry, Michaels works at the shop setting type. She works disguised as a man for obvious reasons. She needs the job to take care of her sister. The story is sometimes tense, sometimes has laugh-out-loud moments. Brody’s confusion over his attraction to Harry has a little of both. The characters are great. They fit the story perfectly. Ada and Anthony are here to give advice, and in Anthony’s case annoy Brody. Finn is a rake trying, maybe, to reform. Their mother, Duchess of Corwin, is not as separated from her sons as they thought. She is a delight who keeps up with her sons’ lives. The romance is headed for a happy ending. Will the book be published? This is second book in the Gentlemen Authors series, very entertaining and enjoyable.
