I feel like the author CRUSHED both of these books. The story is interesting, full of action and conflict, everything is so deep and descriptive. Just beautiful books. Reread this one before reading ‘A Crown So Silver’ and so glad I did. Found more details, used the glossary much more. Ugh. Loved it.
Purple prose galore
If you took out all of the purple prose out of this book, it’d be half the page count or even less. The pacing was sluggish and nothing really happened until the last 50 pages. A whole year goes by in the book and barely anything gets accomplished by the MC. Most of this book is just Fia gardening. So, if you’re into that then this is the book for you.
Loved it
Read it in a day. Amazing detail. I can’t believe it was only 2.99$ I would paid triple the price for a book this good. Can’t wait for the next one. Amazing world building, beautiful vocabulary. Couldn’t put it down
